The
SIKAP+ project includes a visibility and public relations component that aims
to engage stakeholders across the region and help the project attain its goal
in building the capability of emerging space entrants to more productively use
EO infrastructure and applications for societal benefit with the support of
Asi@connect.
Among the visibility strategies identified in
the approved proposal were media and community engagement. Through these,
stakeholders would be informed of project developments and updates, and be able
to engage in conversations and development of ideas.
The first media and community engagement
activity would gather stakeholders for a public launch to announce the kick off
of SIKAP+. The launch will provide an overview of the project, what it hopes to
achieve, and how it benefits the country’s education and research community.
The activity is scheduled for 2022.
